Large-format drawing projects: Karina Mosegård often works with large-format drawings that involve the surrounding space. In the sketches for the large drawings, she works with both depictions of recognizable objects and, in recent years, with a process that draws on surrealist automatism (automatic drawing). This technique originally originated with the surrealists in the 1920s. It involves letting the hand move freely across the paper without any conscious control, planning, or self-censorship.
